THE K9BIOAGE AWARENESS INITIATIVE
Join our free community research initiative to help decode the secrets of canine longevity and give your dog the healthiest, happiest life possible.
One combined assessment
~10 minutes
Personalized report

In just a few minutes, learn what K9 biological aging means, why pet-parent awareness matters, and what to expect.
While 98% of pet parents know their dog's exact chronological age in years, fewer than 15% understand the hidden biological aging process taking place at the cellular level.
Every day, environmental and lifestyle factors are either accelerating or slowing down this process. Our initiative identifies exactly where these critical knowledge gaps exist—so we can begin to close them.
Core understandings of canine cellular longevity
Common misunderstandings about biological aging
Current exposure to healthy-aging concepts
Impact of daily lifestyle and nutritional choices
Identification of critical knowledge gaps in care
Readiness for personalized longevity interventions

Upon completing the assessment, you will instantly receive the K9BioAge Essentials Research Report. This comprehensive educational document reflects your unique responses, offering a personalized overview of your dog's current biological standing.
Inside, you'll explore the 10 Key Drivers framework—a structured methodology designed to help you understand the foundational pillars of canine longevity and vitality.

Paul’s interest in biological aging grew from a deeply personal journey. Following a life-changing cardiac event, he began studying age-management therapeutics, functional and integrative health, advanced diagnostics, prevention, and the biological aging process. Over time, he came to understand an important distinction: The goal is not simply to add years to life. It is to support vitality, resilience, function, and quality of life throughout the aging journey.
As Paul considered how these principles might apply to the dogs we love, he began asking:
Why should insights about biological aging be available only to humans?
That question inspired K9BioAge and, ultimately, the research and educational mission of the K9BioAge Foundation

S. Michal Jazwinski, PhD is Professor of Medicine at Tulane University where he directs the Tulane Center for Aging. He has studied aging for the past forty years in laboratory research on model organisms, such as mice, and in studies of healthy longevity in humans. His work on genetics and epigenetics of biological aging is leading to a better understanding of factors that contribute to the quality of the later years of life. His excitement about K9BioAge is a natural extension of his research interests and of his lifelong attachment to ‘man’s best friend.’
